THORNE CRUISING CLUB
TCC – At the heart of the north east navigations, on the Keadby & Stainforth Canal, within easy reach of The River Trent and Southern navigations, Sheffield, Wakefield, Huddersfield Narrow, Leeds & Liverpool, Hull & York. You can enjoy non tidal cruising or adventure onto the tidal reaches from here. Just half an hour’s cruise to Thorne (where King Fishers have recently been spotted) or a leisurely 4 hours cruise to Doncaster and its famous fish market makes for an enjoyable weekend away.
Did you know? The Stainforth & Keadby Canal was opened in 1802 and now forms part of the Sheffield & Yorkshire navigation, some 42 miles in total. Thorne Cruising Club was formed in 1989.
A committee overseas the work of and administartion of the Club. The AGM and Financial sub committee is held annually whereby post holders are elected subject to the rules of the constitution.
